Story
Here is where all started, in Miguel Aleman Tamaulipas. Mexico. With only 10 Children Students, 4 boys and 6 girls. In a classroom at the Escuela Primaria 16 de Febrero. We were allowed to use one classroom and only after 6 pm, under the condition to leave the students desks, the same way we found them. After time we were able to rent a hall for our classes. Then to the old Presidencia Municipal (City Hall), then to Casa de La Cultura and last to our own Private School.
Mayahuel Mexico, made lots of trips to perform; Performing in Villa Hermosa Tabasco for the Governor and a Tour of Performances in Mexico City are some of the greatest memories. But the Hoghlite of our tips always was attending the National Cahmpionship of Huapango in San Joaquin Queretaro.

Located at the Holy Redeemer Arts & Cultural Center, Mayahuel was a prominent Mexican Dance Company in Detroit, Michigan. It quickly became the premier company in town, representing Mexican folklore at the most prestigious events across the North Central US and Ontario, Canada. Mayahuel celebrated tradition, culture, and the art of dance through its vibrant performances, leaving a lasting impact on the cultural scene. Its rhythm and passion made it a standout in the community!

Mayahuel has been thriving since our relocation to Dallas, welcoming both beginners and experienced dancers alike. Each year, our dedication to building a stronger community and establishing a Dance Company grows deeper. With the addition of talented musicians accompanying our performances, our dancers are more committed than ever to enhancing their and delivering exceptional shows. We are proud to present our best to the public, showcasing the passion and artistry of our team.
